Would you please find out if there is still a painting by
Schotel in Brussels?
It was sent from here on commission May 6,
1870. Perhaps Uncle has already sent it back to Paris.
But if not, please have it returned here immediately. We have a
chance of selling it, but it is urgent. Last summer I saw it at
your gallery, so I think it may still be there.
Give my compliments to Uncle and Aunt, Mr. Schmidt and
I suppose you have got my letter already. Adieu and best
